A Whovian Librarian

Recent Library Science graduate, newly appointed librarian, lover of all things YA, collector of random historical trivia, recreational baker, Anglophile and Doctor Who fan.

 

I have been working in libraries for five years and have been a book lover my entire life.  I began as a shelver my first year of college, and after graduating with my Masters in Library and Information Science in December I just became an offical librarian.  After two years of working as a library assistant in the Youth Services Department and planning children's programming, I am starting a new adventure as a Reference Librarian and will be working on developing library programs for adults for the first time.

 

Along with books and libraries my other main passion is history.  I have a history degree and try to incorporate my status as an amateur genealogist and love of research into my library work.

 

Lastly, if the name of the blog was not an indicator, I am geek who embraces many fandoms including: Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Sherlock, Once Upon a Time, Sleepy Hollow and Firefly.
